TOKYO -- Toshiba launched a quantum technology hub in the U.K. city of Cambridge on Friday, aiming to commercialize such advancements as quantum communication, a form of next-generation encryption.
"The U.K. is a very good place for innovation. Quantum technology can lead to solving various problems such as carbon neutrality," said Toshiba President and CEO Taro Shimada at an opening ceremony on Friday.
