PALO ALTO, California -- U.S. President Donald Trump will extend the deadline facing TikTok by another 75 days as the White House and Chinese tech company ByteDance work on a deal to save the popular video app from a shutdown for American users.

"The Deal requires more work to ensure all necessary approvals are signed, which is why I am signing an Executive Order to keep TikTok up and running for an additional 75 days," Trump said in a post on Truth Social on Friday.
