TOKYO -- The head of mobility for Uber Technologies in Asia says the company can help Japanese taxi drivers make more money by connecting them with visiting foreign tourists, as the ride-sharing company is eager to expand in the country.
Dominic Taylor, regional general manager for mobility in the Asia-Pacific region, said that one of the company's strengths is offering overseas tourists in Japan the same experience in catching a ride as they get in their home countries and regions.
