DALIAN, China/HANOI -- Top Vietnamese tech companies FPT and CMC have established major new locations in China and South Korea, respectively, vying for talent there to better serve corporate clients in East Asia.

FPT, Vietnam's largest information technology group, opened a massive development hub in March at an industrial park in Dalian, in northeastern China. The Dalian subsidiary is starting out with about 200 employees, with plans to expand to roughly 3,000 employees in about five years.
