SYDNEY -- Having relocated between Sydney, Perth and Brisbane throughout her early adulthood, Sam Richardson, a luxury brand marketer, knows firsthand how hard it can be to meet new people and maintain friendships as we get older.

Her own experience of feeling lonely and unfulfilled led her to come up with Butter last year.
