TOKYO -- A joint venture formed by Japan's NTT Docomo and NEC will test a wireless network in Cambodia that could lead to 5G services in the Southeast Asian country, Nikkei has learned.

The joint venture, Orex Sai, will build a 4G network at a large commercial complex in Cambodia as soon as this fiscal year, which ends March 31. The network will serve as a platform for transitioning to 5G in the future.
