Interns at a Uniqlo store in Singapore.

TOKYO -- Reaching out to college students beyond large cities in Japan, casualwear chain operator Fast Retailing will ask internship applicants to submit videos of themselves answering interview questions.

The program will send up to 100 students to Uniqlo stores in Shanghai, Singapore, Seoul, New York and London for about a week starting next February. College and graduate students as well as those at two-year institutions and vocational schools will be able to apply. Foreign-language skills and travel experience will not be necessary.
