Toyota, Honda to cut Chinese parts prices amid antitrust woes

BEIJING -- Toyota and Honda said Friday that they will lower prices on some service parts in China, apparently in response to the growing scrutiny of foreign automakers by the nation's antitrust watchdog.

     Honda is planning price reductions starting Sept. 1 but has yet to decide such details as size and scope. Authorities have raised concerns that the automaker is selling its parts at unreasonably high prices, a Chinese joint venture of the automaker said.
