SINGAPORE -- Japan's Peach Aviation, a low-cost carrier under ANA Holdings, will launch a new service connecting Osaka to Singapore in December, seeking to expand its share in the competitive Southeast Asia market by tapping demand for travel to Japan.

The service connecting Kansai International Airport, which serves the greater Osaka area, and Singapore will start on Dec. 4, with fights departing Singapore at 2:15 a.m. and arriving at 9:35 a.m. Passengers "can go sightseeing in Osaka, or can transfer to our domestic flights and go to other regions," a Peach executive said at a press conference.
