HONG KONG -- Hong Kong railway and real estate giant MTR will pull out of one of its Stockholm rail businesses in 2024 to stem losses in its overseas operations, which have been plagued by staff shortages and maintenance problems.

Another of its Swedish rail operations may also have to be written down as MTR comes under investor pressure to review its overseas businesses, which had grown to account for more than half of its revenue.
