NEW DELHI -- India is considering adopting Japan's next-generation bullet train for a high-speed rail project currently underway in the west, according to a source close to the Indian government.
The E10 trains, which are being developed by East Japan Railway, are expected to begin service in Japan in fiscal 2030, running on the Tohoku Shinkansen bullet train line connecting Tokyo to Japan's northern regions.
