MUMBAI -- India's booming electric scooter industry is poised for a transformation as traditional giants Bajaj Auto and TVS Motor Company drive market leader Ola Electric out of pole position.

Dented by mounting complaints about the quality of its products and after-sales service, and a string of top-level exits, SoftBank-backed Ola Electric saw its market share slump to 19% in December, falling behind Bajaj's 25% and TVS Motor's 23%.
