JAKARTA -- Tech giant GoTo's electric motorbike manufacturer Electrum unveiled its own e-scooter model, battery packs and swap stations on Thursday as it strives to build an EV ecosystem.

Jointly owned by GoTo and Indonesian energy company TBS Energi Utama, Electrum's previous role was to procure Gogoro and Gesits e-scooters for Gojek, the ride-hailing arm of GoTo. Those vehicles are made respectively by the Taiwanese e-scooter maker Gogoro and Wika Industri Manufaktur, a subsidiary of Indonesian state-owned construction company Wijaya Karya.
