OSAKA -- Japan Airlines and ANA Holdings have scrapped plans for commercial flying taxi services at next year's World Expo in Osaka owing to delays in safety reviews, in effect grounding what was set to be one of the main attractions.
The two join Japanese trading company Marubeni and Japan-based startup SkyDrive in cancelling plans to offer taxi flights with passengers aboard. All four planned operators have now pulled out.
