SYDNEY -- An Australian oyster farmer is counting on the recovery of tourism after the COVID-19 pandemic as she seeks to diversify the business to prepare for climate risks such as rising seawater temperatures and floods.

Oyster farming is vulnerable to many risks, including plagues and natural disasters. The oyster farmer, Sheridan Beaumont, is aiming to establish a sustainable business foundation by tapping renewed travel demand.
