BEIJING -- China looks to ease visa rules to help foreign businesspeople visit the country, part of efforts announced Thursday to promote stable trade growth.

The Commerce Ministry said in a notice sent to provinces that it plans to continue negotiations as Beijing seeks mutual exemptions for short-term business visas with more countries.
