TOKYO -- Inbound tourism to Japan has made a nearly complete recovery to levels seen before the pandemic, official data shows.

September had 2.18 million tourists arriving from overseas, which is 96.1% of the volume in the same month in 2019, the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) said Wednesday.
