HONG KONG -- Hong Kong Disneyland is counting on a new area themed around the hit "Frozen" franchise to turn its fortunes around after years of struggling with mainland competition, contractual obligations and bad luck.

World of Frozen opened Nov. 20, just shy of 10 years after the release of the first "Frozen" movie. Fans flocked to it from overseas in a sign of the franchise's enduring popularity.
