HONG KONG -- Hong Kong is counting on its first ever giant panda births to help revive its tourism sector.

Visitor arrivals have been recovering since 2023 but are far from the all-time peak in 2018 as the Chinese city, once known as the region's "shopping paradise," competes with other Asian destinations in the post-COVID era for travelers from mainland China.
