OSAKA -- Tourists to Osaka, the host city of Expo 2025, likely will have one more reason to check out the gaudy billboards and neon lights in the Dotonbori district when an oversized rendition of a long-beloved, drum-beating clown adorns the outside of a refurbished building.
Kuidaore Taro is the bespectacled mascot of the now-closed restaurant called Cui-daore, which roughly translates as "eat till you drop" or "eat till you're broke."
