TOKYO -- Sinar Mas Land, a major property developer in Indonesia, will open a hotel in the country's new capital city being developed on the island of Borneo, its CEO told Nikkei Asia, following in the path of global chain Marriott International.

During a recent interview, Michael Widjaja, CEO of Sinar Mas Land -- the property arm of Indonesian conglomerate Sinar Mas Group, controlled by the Widjaja family -- said it has invested in the launching of a hotel in Nusantara.
