TOKYO -- Hotels in Japan are starting to accommodate guests seeking to fast in a comfortable and supervised setting as a form of self-care.

"I didn't worry about hunger as much as I feared," said a woman from Tokyo who took part in a fasting package on offer from Kahala Hotel & Resort in Yokohama.
