OSAKA -- Japan's Super Hotel says it has achieved net-zero carbon emissions across its entire chain of business hotels, hoping to attract environmentally minded young customers as well as staff in a tight labor market.

The company had offered some net-zero bookings since 2010. By January, it had expanded this to all reservations at its 173 hotels across Japan, including franchise locations -- a first for a big Japanese hotel chain, according to the company.
