TOKYO -- Luxury cruises are no longer just for the retired superrich. The announcement by the operator of Tokyo Disney Resort that it is entering the cruise business points to interest in a younger market as demand grows in Japan.

Shipping lines are developing floating theme parks to attract new customers and develop new sources of income to supplement their main cargo shipping business.
