TOKYO -- A growing number of Japanese islands are introducing an "entrance tax" on visitors as they try to curb overcrowding.
Starting in October, the Hiroshima prefecture city of Hatsukaichi will impose a tax on visitors to the island of Miyajima, home to the Itsukushima Shrine, a World Heritage site.
