A major selling point is the views the courses offer of Mount Fuji, which golfers can enjoy while playing. The prefecture hopes to promote longer stays and greater spending with such tours.

A pair of luxury golf tours for wealthy Taiwanese travelers will be held in May, according to the Shizuoka Prefectural Tourism Association. Over 30 visitors will participate in the tours, which cost around 500,000 yen ($3,200) per person, excluding airfare.
