OSAKA -- Kansai International Airport in Osaka prefecture is in the final stretch of a renovation designed to better accommodate Japan's influx of international travelers, with 5% to 10% more people expected to use the airport next year.

From April to August this year, Kansai International Airport received 10 million international passengers, recovering to 92.3% of its 2019 traffic, according to the airport's operator, Kansai Airports. The company expects to handle 25 million passengers in the whole year.
