NEW YORK -- China's domestic tourism revival helped power earnings for the big global hotel groups last year, but the return of Chinese visitors to the U.S. remains well below pre-pandemic levels.

Travel within China rebounded quickly following the country's lifting of COVID-19 travel restrictions at the beginning of 2023.
