TOKYO -- Asian cities that fully reopened earlier than others after the COVID-19 pandemic saw a rise in business travel expenses, according to a study recently released by British human resources company ECA International.

Singapore -- one of the first to reopen after the pandemic -- is now ranked second in the region, overtaking Tokyo in the 2022 study. The average daily cost of a business trip was $515.
