Southeast Asia airlines, hotels have edge on Japan, U.S. as travel resumes

BANGKOK/SINGAPORE/SHANGHAI -- Chinese tourists have gradually returned to Bangkok's Erawan Shrine, a landmark where people make wishes. But even after the end of China's zero-COVID restrictions, activity remains below pre-pandemic levels.

"I hope things go back to the way it was before COVID soon," a Thai woman selling offerings at the shrine said.
