TOKYO -- Tokyo Disney operator Oriental Land on Tuesday announced it will invest 330 billion yen ($2 billion) to bring Disney cruises to Japan as it seeks to grow beyond its theme parks and capture more tourist spending.
Oriental Land has signed a licensing agreement with Disney Enterprises to launch the cruises, which began in the U.S. in 1998, a company executive said at a news conference.
