Japanese ATMs hooking up with global networks as overseas tourists surge

Foreign tourists can use their home country bank cards to take cash out from Seven Bank ATMs at Shinsei Bank's branch in Tokyo's Yaesu district.

TOKYO -- Responding to demand from overseas tourists, Japanese banks have started introducing automated teller machines that accept foreign issued bank and credit cards.
