TOKYO -- The yuan's slide against the yen presents major threats to Japanese businesses, especially for those operating in China and elsewhere abroad.
Thursday's trading saw 1 yuan go for nearly 18 yen -- more than 2 yen weaker than the peak reached before the Chinese currency's reference rate was lowered in August and roughly 1 yen softer than at the end of March 2015.
