TOKYO -- Dyson, the British company known for its futuristic vacuums and fans, will make Tokyo the home of its only directly run store in the world, opening the outlet Friday as part of a campaign to bolster its already-strong presence in the Japanese market.
A 100-sq.-meter showroom in the posh Omotesando district will display some 20 products ranging from cyclone vacuum cleaners to bladeless fans to long-lasting LED lights. Four different flooring samples, including tatami mats, will allow customers to get a firsthand feel for how its vacuums operate.
