Vietnam's largest brewer, Sabeco, lists as competition soars

Thirsty beer market bodes well, but heavy regulations threaten sales

HO CHI MINH CITY -- Vietnam's largest brewer, Saigon Alcohol, Beer and Beverage Corp. (Sabeco), listed its shares on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange on Tuesday, eight years after its initial public offering in January 2008.

Sabeco offered its stock at 110,000 dong per share. Morning trade saw over 3,000 shares change hands, with the shares going limit-up to 132,000 dong.
