NAGOYA, Japan -- Toyota Motor owes its earnings upgrade for the year ending in March to a softer yen and an improved performance in the U.S. Yet President Donald Trump's attacks on Japan's currency and commerce policies, as well as his plan to renegotiate NAFTA, could upend the automaker's recovery plan.
