Hitachi High-Technologies Corp. engages in the manufacture and sale of electronics. It also provides maintenance and other services associated with its segments. It operates through the following segments: Science and Medical Systems, Electronic Device Systems, Industrial Systems, Advanced Industrial Products, and Others. The Science and Medical Systems segment includes electron microscopes and scientific and analytical instruments such as spectrophotometer, chromatograph, and thermal analysis. The Electronic Device Systems segment manufactures and sells semiconductor manufacturing equipment such as etching and visual inspection equipment, and CD-measurement SEMs. The Industrial Systems segment offers wire inspection equipment for railway operation, automated assembly systems for automotive components, and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions. The Advanced Industrial Products segment deals with industrial materials, optical devices and materials and electronic device materials. The Others handles businesses of indirect subsidiaries. The company was founded on April 12, 1947 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
