Its business includes developing and managing residential properties, shopping malls, office buildings and hotels, many of them in prime areas of Singapore. UOL has been expanding into Malaysia and China in recent years. It acquired a 100% stake in global hotel chain Pan Pacific Hotels Group in 2007. UOL then merged its existing hotel chain, operated under the Parkroyal brand, with Pan Pacific. The group now operates over 30 hotels in Asia, Oceania, and North America under two brands. UOL recently made a foray into the U.K. In August, the group acquired a site for hotel, residential and retail development in London. The hotel will be operated under the Pan Pacific brand.
