MANILA -- Trade ministers from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations have agreed to reduce non-tariff measures by a tenth by 2020, aiming to bolster regional trade and address long-standing concerns from investors.
The ministers, who kicked off their five-day meeting on Thursday, also agreed to roll out a regional trade repository, an online storage of the countries' trade regulations, as well as a platform where the private sector can lodge complaints against unreasonable non-tariff measures, Philippine Trade Undersecretary Ceferino Rodolfo told reporters on Friday.
