As Yellen holds cards close to vest, investors shift attention to BOJ

TOKYO -- Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen did not gloss over the latest U.S. jobs report when speaking at an event in Phildelphia on Monday, calling the figures "disappointing."

It is a well-known fact that the Fed places great importance on domestic employment. Still, it is rare for the head of the U.S. central bank to put so much focus on statistics for a single month.
