TOKYO -- The Bank of Japan is set to vote for a rate hike during its meeting scheduled for Friday, Nikkei has learned, taking a step further in its policy normalization process as inflation hovers above the bank's 2% target and wage hikes by domestic companies spread.
The BOJ's policy rate will likely be raised from the current 0.25% to 0.5%, the highest level since October 2008.
