Big government looms on horizon as world increasingly inward-looking

HONG KONG -- Terrorism appears to show no signs of abating, and the world is growing increasingly inward-looking. These two trends pose a threat to the already faltering global economy -- terrorism, which claimed some 200 lives in the past week alone in Istanbul, Dhaka and Baghdad, poses a physical threat that hampers the movement of people and goods; and looking inward fosters protectionism.
