PHNOM PENH -- Cambodia's international arrivals were up in 2024, but the tourism industry is wondering where these visitors are all going if not to the country's signature visitor options like Angkor Wat.

With the tourism season underway, Cambodia is seeing a wave of visitors returning, but the industry says businesses are struggling to recover as people seem to not be traveling to the same locations that were popular in 2019 -- particularly Siem Reap, home to UNESCO World Heritage site Angkor Archaeological Park.
