HONG KONG -- China's economy is expected to expand 5.1% in 2022, according to the average of forecasts from 33 economists in a survey conducted by Nikkei and Nikkei Quick News.

The slumping property market and strict COVID-19 measures are expected to continue acting as headwinds to the growth of the world's second largest economy.
