China factory and consumer inflation cooled in January

Cheaper pork helps pull down CPI amid global worries over rising prices

BEIJING -- China's inflationary pressure continued to ease in January, including food prices.

January's producer price index rose 9.1% on the year, slowing from the 10.3% recorded in the previous month and touching the lowest level since July, data released by the National Bureau of Statistics showed on Wednesday.
