China's consumer prices flat in September, fanning deflation fears

Trade slump eases further but exports still down 6.2% on year

SHANGHAI -- China's economic data for September showed mixed results, with flat consumer price growth likely to fan concerns about the economy slipping into deflation.

The country's trade slump, on the other hand, eased further thanks in part to demand for consumer electronics.
