TOKYO -- Hong Kong has fallen out of the top 10 most attractive global cities for the first time, according to the latest Global Power City Index.

The Asian financial hub slipped to 13th place from ninth last year, as it was hit hard by the suspension of flights in and out of the territory due to the pandemic. While all the cities in the index showed significant drops in the number of domestic and international passengers, Hong Kong's passenger numbers were down 88%, the biggest decline among all cities surveyed.
