MUMBAI -- Indications of a strong monsoon in India could be a boon for the country's central bank as the impact of its dovish policy, including a frontloading of key policy rate cuts last week, percolates down to the real economy.

In late May, India's primary rain season began at its earliest point in about 16 years, with the Indian Meteorological Department forecasting an above-average monsoon season for the second straight year in 2025.
