Indonesia maintains key interest rate at 6.25% as rupiah slumps

Lack of change comes as inflation stays within central bank's target range

JAKARTA -- Indonesia's central bank on Thursday left its seven-day reverse repo rate unchanged at 6.25% for the second consecutive meeting.

Bank Indonesia Gov. Perry Warjiyo said in a statement that the unchanged rate and intensified monetary operation "will support rupiah stability and foreign capital inflow."
