BANGKOK/JAKARTA/HANOI -- Indonesia, Thailand and other Southeast Asian nations are rolling out large economic stimulus packages as they attempt to shield their economies from the impact of sweeping U.S. tariffs.

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto's government has put together a stimulus package worth 24.44 trillion rupiah ($1.5 billion) by Tuesday. This represents a reversal of a plan decided on earlier this year to cut 306 trillion rupiah in spending to generate funds for free school meals.
